ECU Remaps
At JAYtecnik we use the latest hardware and software to modify the standard ECU map via the OBDII diagnostics port on your vehicle.
Each modified map is tailored to suit your own vehicle and individual driving requirements. All of our software is based on dyno developments which are also carried out in-house, we never provide generic software which is untested, it is always of the highest standard.

As well as producing greater power and torque, we also deal with driveability problems at lower rev ranges such as flat spots and hesitation issues, giving the engine more initial torque making for a more responsive and enjoyable drive. Chip Tuning/ECU Chipping
At JAYtecnik we also carry out a chip tuning service for older vehicles that cannot be remapped via the OBDII diagnostics port. However we only offer this service from our premises in the South Yorkshire area and we will normally require your vehicle for the day.
When we chip tune a vehicle, we remove the ECU open it and then remove the standard EPROM chip. The information on the chip is then read and copied using specialist hardware and software. We then modify the copied standard map file to your requirements (e.g power, torque & economy). The modified map is then written to a new clean chip, which is then soldered into your vehicle ECU. The modified ECU is then refitted to your vehicle.

BAS Remap Switching Module
The
BAS Remap Switching Module allows customers to switch between standard
and tuned ECU maps without the need for technical know how. It gives
you the ability to program your vehicle from standard to tuned and vice
versa as often as you wish. At the moment this product is only available for vehicles in the Land Rover range.
Once purchased the unit is yours to keep forever. If you require an updated map file then this can be emailed to you and uploaded to the module. This is especially handy if dealers have carried out an ECU software update on your vehicle.
Also because the module allows you to quickly and easily switch between standard and modified maps, it gives peace of mind if you are still worried as to whether a manufacturer will discover your tuned map (although this very rarely happens).
Another benefit of a BAS Remap Switching Module is if the vehicle is being loaned and you would like to restrict the engine back to its standard state of tune, this is especially useful on high performance turbo vehicles.
Built into the remapping tool is also a basic engine diagnostic fault code reader, it will read and erase the engine fault codes you may or may not have in your engine management system.

Speed Limiter Removal
As some customers will already know, many factories set speed limits on their commercial vehicles. This has in the past caused a large headache for those owners of Land Rover and Ford Transit models. Basically there is an unofficial factory limit of no more than 98mph even after a remap.
After extensive development and testing JAYtecnik are able to remove this factory limit as part of a full remap or as a stand alone service for the following models:

- Ford Transit Mk7 2.2TDCi 110bhp
- Ford Transit Mk7 2.2TDCi 130bhp
- Ford Transit Mk7 2.4TDCi 140bhp

Diagnostics
We also offer a full diagnostics and fault code reading service for all VAG group vehicles as well as Citroen Peugeot vehicles. The cost is £35 for fault diagnosis and code reading. We are also able to rectify many fault code lights using specialist dealer software. The cost for clearing codes and dashboard lights is £10 on top of the price above for diagnostics.
